Checkout rules for Shopify
Stop the orders you can’t fulfil, before checkout completes
Set an order minimum, limit quantities, ship only where you can deliver, or sell only to tagged customers. Shoppers see a clear message and fix their cart; you skip the refund.
Try it on a sample cart
Pick a rule and change the cart. The verdict is the one Shopify checkout would give.
3. What the shopper sees at checkout

How it works
Pick a template or build a rule
Start from an order minimum, a country list or a customer tag, or combine conditions on the cart, the customer and the delivery address.
Test it on a sample cart
See whether a cart would be blocked and the exact message the shopper gets, before the rule goes live.
Turn it on
The rule runs inside Shopify checkout as a cart and checkout validation. Turn it off any time from the app or from Settings › Checkout.
What you can check
12 ready-made templates, all editable. See every template.
Order minimums and maximums
Block carts under or over a subtotal, with a message that says exactly why.
Quantity limits
Cap the items per order or per product, for limited drops and wholesale packs.
Where you ship
Allow or block delivery countries and ZIP or postal codes.
Who can buy
Require a customer tag for members-only stores, or require shoppers to log in.
Your own logic
On Pro, write expressions and check product metafields, such as age-restricted items.

Questions
Do rules slow down checkout?
No. Each rule is evaluated by a Shopify Function, inside Shopify's own checkout, with no calls to our servers.
Where does the shopper see the message?
Shopify shows it in checkout, at the top of the page or next to the field it relates to, and the shopper can't pay until the cart meets the rule.
What happens if I move from Pro to Free?
Nothing is deleted. Rules that need Pro are turned off, then any rules beyond your 3 oldest. Upgrade again and you can turn them back on.
Does the app store my customers' data?
No. Rules are saved in your Shopify store. Customer details are read by Shopify at checkout and never reach our servers. See the privacy policy.
